Australia, being the most successful team in the world, has a significant edge over Bangladesh, who are just beginning to make a mark on the international stage. Despite their efforts, the Tigresses couldn't display maturity against the visitors on their home ground. They suffered a big defeat in the first match, scoring only 118 runs, and faced another significant loss in the second match.

In the second One Day International (ODI) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Nigar Sultana Joti's team lost by 6 wickets.

Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat first. However, openers Farzana Haque Pinky and Sobhana Mostary struggled to score runs. Despite playing 8.3 overs, they managed to score only 17 runs as a partnership. Sobhana Mostary got out after scoring 3 runs off 20 balls bowled by Megan Schutt.

Farzana couldn't even touch the double-figure mark, scoring only 7 runs off 52 balls before becoming Sophie Molineux's victim. Murshida Khatun also got out after scoring 5 runs off 24 balls bowled by Ashleigh Gardner.

When the team's total reached just 27 runs in 17.4 overs, the fourth batter Nigar Sultana Joti got out after scoring 1 run off 5 balls. Joti was dismissed by Ferhana Moneeque.

The partnership between Fahima Khatun and Ritu Moni added 25 runs, helping Bangladesh reach the 50-run mark. However, both were dismissed within 5 balls. Ritu Moni scored 10 runs off 24 balls, while Fahima scored 11 runs off 19 balls.

Sorna Aktar (2 runs off 19 balls) and Rabeya Khan (3 runs off 17 balls) couldn't contribute significantly. However, Nahida Akter took the responsibility to increase the runs, scoring 16 runs off 23 balls. Marufa Akter added another 20 runs.
