Despite not winning a single match in the Champions Trophy, Bangladesh will not return empty-handed. They finish their campaign with one point after the final group-stage match against Pakistan was abandoned due to rain. The Tigers, who were already eliminated from the tournament after losing their first two matches, will return home tonight, marking a disappointing end to their campaign.

On Thursday, the match between Bangladesh and Pakistan in Rawalpindi was called off due to continuous rain. The rain delayed the match so much that the toss could not even take place. With both teams already knocked out of the tournament after losing their opening two matches, this final match turned into a formality, with both teams sharing a point.

Bangladesh will return home on an Emirates Airlines flight this morning at 10 AM (Bangladesh time), and they are expected to land in Dhaka by tonight.

Before leaving for the tournament, Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto had expressed hopes of winning the Champions Trophy. If Bangladesh had won the trophy, they would have received a prize money of 22.4 million dollars, which is approximately 27 crore Bangladeshi Taka. However, the team has failed to meet the expectations of their fans and supporters, leaving without a win.

The Tigers' batting was a major disappointment throughout the tournament. In their first match, they lost to India by 6 wickets, and in the second match, they were defeated by New Zealand by 5 wickets. In both matches, Bangladesh's batters struggled with dot balls — 159 dot balls in the match against India and 181 dot balls in the game against New Zealand. Combined, they faced a total of 56.4 overs of dot balls, severely limiting their scoring ability.

In the end, Bangladesh will return with just one point from the rain-affected match, marking a forgettable Champions Trophy campaign.
