Bangladesh endured a whitewash at home as they lost the third and final T20I against West Indies by 5 wickets in Chattogram.

Winning the toss, Bangladesh captain Litton Das opted to bat first. However, the hosts got off to a shaky start with Parvez Hossain Emon and Litton both dismissed for 9 runs each. Tanjid Hasan Tamim then built a solid 63-run partnership off 43 balls with Saif Hassan to steady the innings.

After Saif departed for 23, Bangladesh’s batting lineup once again collapsed. Despite Tamim’s brilliant knock of 89 runs off 62 balls, the rest of the batters failed to contribute significantly. Romario Shepherd completed a hat-trick by dismissing Tamim, Nurul Hasan Sohan, and Shoriful Islam in quick succession. Bangladesh were bowled out for 151 runs, with only Tamim and Saif reaching double figures.

Chasing 153, West Indies lost Alick Athanaze early to Mehidy Hasan. Later, Nasum Ahmed removed Brandon King for 8 and Rishad Hossain dismissed Aamir Jangoo for 34, leaving the visitors struggling at 53 for 3.

However, Roston Chase and Akeem Auguste turned the game around with a blistering 91-run partnership off just 46 balls. Auguste smashed a quickfire fifty off 24 balls to put his team firmly in control. Although Rishad managed to remove both set batters, it was too late for Bangladesh.

West Indies reached the target in 16.5 overs, finishing at 153 for 5 with 19 balls to spare. Rishad Hossain took 3 wickets for Bangladesh, while Nasum Ahmed and Mehidy Hasan picked up one each.

With this win, West Indies completed a 3-0 clean sweep, while Bangladesh were left to reflect on another disappointing T20I series.
