Bangladesh Set for Final Warm-Up Match Against Pakistan Shaheens Before Champions Trophy
Ahead of their campaign in the 2025 Champions Trophy, Bangladesh will face Pakistan Shaheens in their only warm-up match. This game, set to take place before the main event, is crucial for Bangladesh as it provides a valuable opportunity to prepare for the challenges ahead.
The match will be held at the ICC Cricket Academy in Dubai at 3:00 PM local time. Pakistan Shaheens, led by Mohammad Haris, features players like Amir Jamal and Mohammad Wasim Junior, though none of them are part of Pakistan’s Champions Trophy squad. This game will give Bangladesh a chance to build momentum before their first official match in the tournament.
This warm-up match will be especially important for Shanto and his team as they face India in their opening match of the Champions Trophy on February 20 in Dubai. After the opener against India, Bangladesh will travel to Pakistan for their next games. On February 24, they will face New Zealand in Rawalpindi, followed by a match against Pakistan on February 27 at the same venue.
The Champions Trophy represents a significant challenge for Bangladesh, as they compete with teams from their group—India, Pakistan, and New Zealand—before advancing into the knockout rounds.
