From the moment the schedule for the 3-match T20I series against the USA was announced, everyone assumed the Tigers would win the series effortlessly. However, the USA surprised Bangladesh on the field, winning the first two matches and securing the series. Bangladesh avoided a whitewash by winning the final match.
In the third and final T20, Bangladesh restricted the USA to 104 runs and secured a 10-wicket victory. This marked Bangladesh's first 10-wicket win in international T20 cricket.
At the Prairie View Cricket Complex, Bangladesh chose to bowl first after winning the toss. The USA's opening partnership scored 46 runs in 5 overs. Shakib Al Hasan initiated the breakthrough by dismissing Andries Gous, marking his 700th wicket in international cricket.
Following Shakib's lead, Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Rishad Hossain each took one wicket. However, Mustafizur Rahman outshone everyone, surpassing even his past records.
Mustafizur bowled 4 overs, including 1 maiden over, and took 6 wickets for just 10 runs, achieving his best performance in international T20 cricket.
