Australia Announces T20 Squad for Pakistan Series; Key Players Rested
Australia’s National Selection Panel has announced the squad for the upcoming home T20 series against Pakistan scheduled for next month.
Xavier Bartlett, Nathan Ellis, and Spencer Johnson have returned to the T20 setup after recovering from injuries.
Several key players from the Test squad will miss this series as they prepare for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar series against India and will remain rested. If any player from the T20 squad is selected for the Test squad, they will join the Test team after the final T20 match.
Australia’s Chief Selector, George Bailey, said: “This team has represented Australia in T20 cricket, and we are hopeful that they will gain more international experience in this series. The blend of experience and newcomers in international cricket is very exciting for us.”
“Especially, the return of Xavier, Spencer, and Nathan to the national team is encouraging. It’s another opportunity for them to showcase their skills on the international stage, as they have done before.”
