USA middle-order batter Aaron Jones has been provisionally banned from all forms of cricket by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The suspension is effective from 28 January 2026.
Jones faces five charges related to breaches of the ICC and Cricket West Indies (CWI) anti-corruption codes, primarily linked to the BIM10 league in Barbados during 2023–2024. He has 14 days to respond to the charges.
According to an ICC statement, the ban is effective immediately, and Jones will not be allowed to participate in any cricket matches until the investigation is completed.
Born in New York, Jones grew up playing cricket in Barbados alongside players like Shai Hope and Jason Holder. In his early years, he competed against stars such as Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell.
After playing domestic cricket for Barbados in 2017, Jones moved to the USA to fully focus on American cricket. Since then, he has been a key player for the national team.
So far, Jones has played 52 ODIs and 48 T20Is, scoring 1,664 runs in ODIs (including one century) and 770 runs in T20Is.
